The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region held a meeting on Wednesday 11/18/2020 regarding the national classification of the region's universities, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Aram Muhammad Qadir and representatives of universities.

During the meeting, it was agreed to form a committee to follow up on the issue and discuss the criteria used in classification. The Vice President of the University of Zakho, Assistant Professor Dr. Karwan Fahmy Sami, was chosen as a member of the committee.
